Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)

At BDS Training, we are fully committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where all young people - regardless of their individual needs - can thrive.

We believe that every learner should feel valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. That’s why we ensure that students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) are fully included in all aspects of life at BDS Training.

Our Approach

To meet the diverse needs of our learners, we:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individual learning programmes that reflect the outcomes outlined in each learner’s EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan)
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and adapt our approach to suit different learning styles
  • Provide accessible resources and support to help learners engage with the curriculum confidently
  • Work closely with schools, parents/carers, and external professionals to ensure a joined-up, holistic approach to support
  • Maintain regular, open communication with parents/carers to update them on their child’s progress and ensure they are fully involved in their development

Our Commitment

We aim to:

  • Remove barriers to learning
  • Promote independence, confidence, and self-worth
  • Celebrate progress, no matter how big or small
  • Deliver meaningful outcomes that support each learner's personal, social, and vocational development
